Great work thus far on alpha3, papyrus is definitely a much more elegant solution compared to the enchantment properties.
Couple things I have noticed so far with a3:
1: The default offset of 11.8 now corresponds to the z-offset of 11.8 in 3ds; the 1:1 ratio makes it much easier to fine tune the height with the custom spell parameters, as the z-shift can be directly inputted as magnitude, and the modders are no longer constrained by a certain offset limit.
2: The implementation of the absolute coordinate system did solve the incremental height increase issue when loading saves with the effect enabled, however, now, when loading a saved game with the effect enabled results in the character being stuck at the fixed height (i.e. +11.8) until game restart...
This is better than before, but still a little nuisance as the effect must be deactivated before loading a saved game. Perhaps there's a way to purge the script memory before loading?
3: All the saved games made with the old (alpha 1) system enabled will not work with alpha 3. That's to be expected since alpha 3 uses a completely different engine, it's just something that others who are having trouble getting alpha 3 to work might want to know... |
